Palworld is a recently re-
leased video game that fea-
tures pals that can be col-
lected throughout the game.

Though the popularity of the
game has been great, it is

not because of its original-
ity. The game has downsides

considering its similar quali-
ties to other games such as

Ark: Survival Evolved and
Pokémon. It also offers a
multiplayer setting, allowing
both local and online lobbies.
In order to provide players

with the best gaming expe-
rience possible, the design-
ers of Palworld have made it

available on both Steam and

Xbox, targeting a wide array
of gamers. This wide range

of platforms has proven suc-
cessful. According to the

New York Times, Palworld
sold over 8 million copies on
Steam in under seven days.
While playing the game, the

player must collect materi-
als and capture pals in order

to have the most successful
world. Progress in the game
comes sooner rather than later
with the option of building a
base with the help of the Pals
quickly opening up. There are
many items within the game
that the player can unlock as
they level up, which can soon
be utilized in building their
base. Alongside the domestic
aspects of the game, the game
also offers a well developed,

open world gaming experi-
ence. When roaming through

said open terrain, there is
a wide variety of creatures

ranging from towering mon-
sters to pocket sized creatures

that players can capture and
add to their collection. Once
captured, these pals can also
help players when in boss
fights or in fights with other
players or NPC characters.
There is an in-game feature,

the pal-deck, that allows gam-
ers to track the pals as well as

their general stats, level and
basic information on the pals.
Though Palworld has faced
many controversies due to
its seemingly copied aspects,
that does not take away from

the extreme growth and popu-
larity that this game has al-
ready had.
