Ramsey runs through senior year leaving it in the dust

Senior Skylar Ramsey has
been a part of the Marlow
Outlaw cross country team
for six years.
Cross country is a difficult
sport, but Ramsey loves pushing herself to her limits.
“My greatest achievement
through cross country was
teaching my body and mind to
be strong enough to not give
up,” Ramsey said. “Cross
country has had a huge impact on my life, and the sport,
teammates, and coaches have
all helped me reach my full
potential.”
One person who has helped
to push Ramsey throughout
the years is teammate Lauren
Ivory.
“Skylar and I have always
been friends, but we grew
very close through cross
country,” Ivory stated. “Since
then, she has become a role
model for me. She sets an
example through her grit and
hard work.”
The characteristic that sets
Ramsey apart from others in
Ivory’s opinion is her determination.
“Once she decides she
wants to do something, she
does it and doesn’t let anything stop her,” explained
Ivory.
Ramsey has not only impacted her teammates but also
her coaches.

Mikey Eaves has been coaching Ramsey for six years.
