Bowman pins down senior year

Senior Brayden Bowman has worked as an athlete all through his high school career.

For Bowman, wrestling has been one of his sports from a young age.

“I have been wrestling since I was five, so basically my whole life,” said Bowman.

Over the years Bowman has progressed as a wrestler, leading to a great accomplishment for the senior.

“My biggest accomplishment in wrestling would be All-Stating,” stated Bowman.

As a student athlete, many lessons are learned and characters are built.

This is no different for Bowman, as being a wrestler has helped shape him into the person he has become.

“Being involved in sports has taught me self discipline, made me more mature and prepared me for more than just high school,” expressed Bowman.

Assistant wrestling coach Keith Kizarr has seen Bowman grow over the years first hand.

“He has always been a tough competitor,” stated Kizarr.

Kizarr goes on to express Bowman’s qualities as an athlete and also as a student and person.

“He is really reliable. You can always count on him to be there whether it is practice or anything else,” stated Kizarr.

Fellow senior Easton Dittner has known Bowman since early elementary school when they first became friends.

“He has grown over the years by becoming more responsible,” said Dittner.

Bowman has many qualities that were mentioned by his friend.

“Brayden is always kind to everyone and always there when you need him most,” expressed Dittner.

Not only does Bowman exhibit good qualities as a person but also as a teammate.

“He works hard and holds everyone else accountable,” said Dittner.

“Brayden always makes sure to celebrate when you do something good as well,” Dittner added.

Bowman leaves behind this motivational piece of advice to younger students at Marlow High School.

“Stay as involved as possible in all four years of high school,” stated Bowman.

Once graduated, Bowman plans to continue his education at Oklahoma StateUniversity where he will pursue a degree in electrical engineering.
