How students can become more confident

Has there ever been a time where you doubted or believed that you were not good enough for something?

Unfortunately most high schoolers or young adults face these problems of not believing in themselves on a regular basis.

There can be many causes for them to doubt their abilities, which can arise from a multitude of scenarios including day to day social interactions, including those experienced through technological platforms.

Since many young adults struggle daily with confidence, it becomes necessary for them to have outside guidance so they can know how to trust in themselves.

Here is a step by step way to learn how to gain confidence and to know that no matter what someone says, you have the power within yourself to be great.

The first step toward building confidence would be learning what makes themselves unique and what is important in their life.

Once students are able to figure out what they enjoy and what makes them special, they will then  be able to start nurturing and growing confidence.

The second step involves self-confidence and knowing that despite life’s struggles, there is nothing they cannot overcome.

Once students are able to be comfortable within themselves, they can start to grow in their confidence.

Once they have completed the first two steps, they are now prepared to take on the third step.

Step three entails finding the sources that make each person feel less confident and then  try to eliminate them from his or her life.

These sources are different for every person making it very important to individualize the strategy for each student.

After accomplishing the hardest part in the process of believing in themselves, the student will be able to easily complete the rest of the steps.

The fourth step is creating a beneficial environment for themselves in an effort to make it easier to be oneself.

This environment could be a friend group that supports the person or even an activity that he or she finds interesting.

The amazing aspect about creating an environment for the individual is that it can be whatever that person finds enjoyable.

After creating an environment that supports the student for who he or she is as a young adult , the student will be prepared for the fifth and final step.

The fifth step is implementing what they have learned and putting it into action, with a goal of  reaping positive effects.

The most important aspect to gain confidence is for students to realize they do not need to perform to other peoples’ standards to acquire confidence, but realize that they already have a unique ability of their own and they need to let it flourish.

Most of the time young adults buy into the persona that they need to be instead of the person that they are.

The truth that students must hear and accept is that they are more capable than they think, and they just have to believe in themselves to silence the doubts and achieve their goals!
