Senior Ensly Long is a passionate student and a spirited member of the community.

She has enjoyed cheering through elementary school and began cheering at Marlow High School (MHS) two years ago when she was just a sophomore.

Long cheered for a school in Rush Springs before she came to be an Outlaw.

She shared her many years of experience with cheering and how many of her peers have impacted her life.

“I’ve learned that being supportive is more than just showing up for someone, it’s being present and encouraging all the time,” Long expressed.

Long has been very heartfelt about her experience and what aspires her to be herself.

“I plan to help uplift people with the encouragement I’ve picked up from cheer,” Long stated

Although Long has not been at Marlow for many years, she has made unforgettable friendships and relationships that she continues to rise from.

Senior Sage Minyard shares how Long has helped her grow and succeed not only as a person but as a student and friend.

“Ever since I met Ensly she has always strived to do new things and meet new people. I think moving to Marlow has opened up new opportunities that have helped her thrive,“ Minyard stated. “She has always been such a kind hearted person, and she is a great example no matter who she is around. She has shown me through our friendship how to be kind and caring.”

Although Long has great friendships with her peers, she has also built great relationships with her teachers.

Algebra II teacher Karen Brantley shares how she has seen Long strive to grow and succeed through the two years she has been at Marlow.

Brantley had Long in her Algebra 2 class as a junior, but now has her as a TAP student.

“Ensly has been a joy to have in class. She always shows up with a good attitude, and she’s ready to do whatever is asked of her,“ Brantley said. “She is an extremely hard worker whose positivity and cheerfulness spreads throughout the classroom.”

Not only have Long’s friends and teachers been a huge support system for her but her family also plays a very important role in her life.

“My parents are my biggest supporters,” Long expressed

Long has many plans for her future, and her family has continued to support her through her dreams and different paths she would like to explore.

Long plans on going to college, and pursuing a career in early education and deaf education once she graduates highschool.
