Rose has passion for FCCLA

image1-3Being involved in several organizations in high school may be more than a handful for some students, but for senior Cheyenne Rose it is just the right kind of challenge.

Rose has been an officer in Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America, or FCCLA, for three years, where she has excelled in leadership.

Junior Blair Brantley, a fellow FCCLA officer says Rose’s willingness to help makes her a positive asset to the organization.

“Cheyenne possesses a great number of leadership qualities, but those that stand out to me are her dedication, attention to detail, and amazing work ethic,” Brantley said. “She focuses so much energy on FCCLA, and members are able to see and be inspired by that.”

FCCLA has also assisted Rose’s passion for helping others, as she plans to attend a dental hygiene school in Seattle, Washington.

“I’ve always liked going to the dentist and learning about teeth,” Rose said. The environment is very neutral and calm while being one of the fastest growing occupations.”

FCCLA adviser, Tamra Huddleston, believes Rose will succeed in any goals she chooses to achieve in life after high school.

“I have seen Cheyenne grow over the past years and it has been a privilege to see her become an independent thinker as well as a doer,” Huddleston said. “I am excited for her future and look forward to seeing her succeed in whatever she chooses to do.”

While FCCLA may be Rose’s main activity, she is also involved in choir, library club, biomed, Health Occupations Students of America, National Honor Society, as well as working at Giuseppe’s Italian Dining in Marlow.

With a determined mind and a helping heart, Rose will lead herself through any challenge she faces.
