“I have always set my mind on becoming one of the top ranked students in my graduating class,” Crowson said.

Although academics are a priority for Crowson, he also has a true passion for athletics. Participating in cross-country for three years, basketball for three years and track for four years, Crowson is an all-around athlete.

Fellow senior and teammate Nathan Fikes said that his friend has a good mind set.

“Nathan is very mentally tough and works hard at everything he does,” Fikes said.

Crowson has also received various awards in each sport such as Honorable Mention at state cross-country meet his sophomore year. He recently opened the season placing 1st at the Marlow Invitational meet and 4th in the Gingerbread Run in Denton, Texas.

Although he said he loves running, Crowson says his favorite sport is basketball.

“Compared to my other sport activities, basketball requires more of a team effort, and I like that part of it.”

Crowson sees his future in the athletic field as well, hoping to one day be a strength and condition coach or an athletic trainer.

According to assistant cross-country coach Matt Ivory, Crowson is a dedicated athlete.

“He takes everything seriously when it’s time to be serious,” Ivory said.

Crowson is the son of Freddie and Leesha Crowson.
