Senior Ayden Williams has been a member of the Marlow High School football team for three years, serving as the team’s starting center.
Since joining the team, Williams has been awarded the All-District Honorable Mention and helped set an example for his teammates.
“My favorite part of football was being able to hang out with the other players,” Williams said. “I enjoyed playing the sport with them.”
Playing as a starter on an offensive position on the team allowed Williams to compete at all of the football games.
With all of the experiences on the team, Williams has changed as a person, this being noticed by his coaches.
Weightlifting teacher and head coach of the team, Matt Weber, has coached Williams since he joined the team his freshman year.
“Ayden was a great teammate and a very hard worker in the off season helping our team be successful,” Weber said. “We never had to worry about him doing anything that shined a bad light on the team or missing practice. He showed up everyday, and his coaches and teammates respected him for that.”
Williams’ excellence on the teams has not only been noticed by his coaches, fellow teammate and sophomore Blayd Harris having noticed as well.
Harris has known Williams for two years, having met him in weightlifting class and having stayed friends with him throughout the years.
“Ayden has affected me by being the nicest person I know,” Harris expressed. “His best quality is his kindness to others no matter who they are.”
Williams plans to take his academic and athletic abilities to Cameron University, where he will study biology.
After graduation, Williams plans to pursue education and coaching or attend medical school to become a chiropractor.
