Senior Kennedy Kizarr has taken on leadership roles going into her senior year through FFA.

“I first got into ag because I was obsessed with the four cows we had in our backyard, and then I eventually got into showing goats,” stated Kizarr.

“I realized that it was more than just showing. It is about making friends and having fun,” Kizarr added.

FFA and agriculture have taught Kizarr other lessons that she can take into other aspects of her life.

“Ag has made me a better person because it has shown me to appreciate what I get because you are not always going to win. I have learned to be graceful when losing, even though it can be hard because I am competitive,” expressed Kizarr.

Kizarr takes her competitiveness and good attitude into another activity she enjoys, which happens to be pole vaulting.

“Showing has taught me all about competition so that helps a lot in track season,” Kizarr stated.

Kizarr’s biggest personal successes are in both FFA and track. 

“My biggest accomplishment in FFA is definitely becoming the chapter president and in track it is setting the school pole vault record,” proclaimed Kizarr.

Both of these accomplishments took lots of hard work and dedication, which are commonly recognized traits in Kizarr.

Fellow senior, Yadira Ramirez, has been motivated by Kizarr since elementary school.

“Kennedy has always been a hard worker and she inspires me to work hard,” expressed Ramirez.

Kizarr’s twin sister and fellow senior Kendall Kizarr has also been pushed by Kennedy to work diligently and maintain a high level of integrity. 

“Over the years she has inspired me to finish the things that need to be done,” said Kendall Kizarr.

“My favorite thing about Kennedy is how brutally honest she is. She will not lie to you about anything.” 

Kizarr has also shown honest compassion for her friends. 

“Kennedy will always show you the right way to do everything,” added Ramirez.

Kizarr leaves behind words of advice for underclassmen.

“Always try to achieve the best, even when you do not think it is necessary, it always leads up to something,” expressed Kizarr.

After high school Kizarr plans to compete in college track while attaining a degree in veterinary medicine.
