Scott pins down a successful senior year

Senior Ty Scott has been wrestling for eight years and has displayed his determined personality throughout his participation.

He originally joined the program to get in shape and improve in his other sports; however, wrestling has taught Scott valuable life lessons.
“Being in wrestling has taught me self-discipline and how to continue to push myself,” Scott voiced.

Many of Scott’s teammates and friends have had the opportunity to watch Scott grow throughout the years.

Fellow senior Kyle Wilson has been friends with Scott since third grade and has had the opportunity of being Scott’s teammate on multiple teams throughout their education.

“Ty brings a good type of energy to the wrestling team that most people don’t,” Wilson expressed.

Senior Cole Hayes has known Scott since his freshman year and has also had the opportunity to watch Scott grow throughout their education as teammates.

“He has matured a lot from when I first met him, and he has now found his place in the world,” Hayes shared.

Scott’s growth throughout his career has led him to outstanding achievements such as being a part of the wrestling team that has been named back-to-back Dual State Champions and back-to-back Wrestling State Champions.

“I consider my biggest accomplishment to be making the state tournament my senior year,” Scott revealed.

Scott will continue to use the skills and lessons he has learned from wrestling throughout his life after his education.

After high school, Scott plans to attend Oklahoma State University and study Biology with Pre-Dental focus.
