Tolle sprints through senior year

Since the seventh grade, senior Luke Tolle has been running for the Marlow Cross Country Team while displaying his dedicated and determined personality.

Throughout the years, Tolle has worked with teammates to improve both the team and himself in their running capabilities.

Stating that he was reluctant to join the team at first, Tolle realized over time that participating on the team has helped him learn many lessons and mottos to live by.

“Cross country has taught me to work hard and never give up,” Tolle expressed.

Tolle has not only refined his athleticism and ability to lead but also his friendly aura that is greatly respected by his teammates.

Fellow teammate and junior Jordan Brown has experienced Tolle’s welcoming atmosphere firsthand.

“Luke makes me happy and has always been there for me,” Brown stated.

Many other of Tolle’s teammates, like Brown, have had a front seat view in watching Tolle grow throughout his years on the team.

Another of Tolle’s companions, junior Gage DaVoult, has known Tolle for four years and has watched what he has brought to the team.

“Luke is funny and always has a great attitude,” DaVoult commented.

Tolle is not unaware of his achievements, especially those he has accomplished with the help of his team.

“My biggest accomplishment in cross country so far has definitely been winning the team state championship,” Tolle conveyed.

Tolle has worked hard throughout his time on the team and has learned that giving up is never an option, not while running, not while in school nor is it after school.

After high school, Tolle plans to further his education and receive a degree from the college of his choice.
