Going into her fourth year as a Marlow High School Bootlegger, senior Shiloh Sullivent continues to grow as a leader and dancer.

Growing up in Marlow, Oklahoma, Sullivent knew exactly what she wanted to do in the spring of her eighth grade year – try out for the Marlow High School Bootleggers.

Sullivent shares the person who lit the spark in her ever since she was a little girl to try out for the MHS Bootleggers.

“Growing up I have always looked up to Miss Addie Wortham,” stated Sullivent. “She was a bootlegger while I was still in elementary school. I always noticed how her face was constantly lit up and how she was always excited to be doing whatever it was that she was doing. Every now and then, I get to talk to her as a friend and fellow bootlegger.”

Now Sullivent is currently living her childhood dream of being a MHS Bootlegger and getting to inspire little girls just like how she once was.

Bootlegger coach Leesha Crowson shared qualities Sullivent has adhered to and can put to use in her adult life from her experience of being on the team.

“I think being a Bootlegger will help Shiloh with her leadership and time management skills,” stated Crowson. “I think her teamwork skills will help her get along well with others in her future workplaces.”

Taking on her senior year one step at a time due to COVID-19, Sullivent shared what pushes her and helps her to never give up.

“I know God has a plan for me, and I trust him fully,” said Sullivent. “God is constantly working and doing his part, so I work to meet him halfway.”

Nearing the end of her high school career, Sullivent has started thinking about her plans outside of high school.

Sullivent hopes to be led on a path to attending a dental school and continuing her journey in dance.
