Taking a step towards personal success, Lauryn Knox knows what is best when it comes to helping others and making the community better.
Knox is a member of Student Council, Marlow bootleggers and on the Lady Outlaw varsity track team.
Knox says that she takes great pride in participating in Student Council, where she helps with numerous projects throughout the year including the haunted house and Random Acts of Kindness.
The Random Acts of Kindness project was started by the student council to help members of the community with labor and other matters.
“We help Marlow Public Schools and other members in the community by mowing lawns and performing other maintenance” Knox says.
Miles Ellis, who has worked alongside Knox in Student Council, knows the values that she holds so dear.
“Lauryn is a very kind hearted classmate and friend,” Ellis states. “I have known Lauryn for many years, and she has always been a very nice girl.”
The one person that can give good insight into Knox’s character is student council adviser and sophomore English teacher Ann Field.
“Lauryn is a hard worker and has been an asset to our council over the past four years.”, Field states. “She is a sweet, classy young lady who is a great role model for younger girls and I am really going to miss her when she graduates.”
After high school, Knox plans to attend Oklahoma State University and either major in Elementary Education or Pediatrics.
