Senior Cooper Redway
has been playing an im-
portant role in athletic pro-
grams across Marlow High
School throughout his high
school career.
Redway has been on the
MHS football team and
track team for four years
and the MHS basketball
team for two years.
Redway has found that
his time with athletics has
helped him stay positive.
“I am very optimistic. It
has always been like that
through tough times,” said
Redway.
“I love sports, and I like
being active.”
With his positive mind-
set and passion towards
all that he does, Redway
has made an impact on
his coaches. MHS Foot-
ball coach Matt Weber has
coached Redway since his
middle school years and
seen this personal growth
firsthand.
“I loved watching Coo-
per’s transformation from
the time he moved here
in junior high to where
he is today. As a student
and athlete, he has ma-
tured through his own hard
work,” said Weber. “Coo-
per has shown others that
things that may not come
easy are still attainable if
you are willing to put in ex-
tra effort.”
Alongside the impact he
has on his coaches, Red-
way has been an inspira-
tion for his teammates,
including senior Ty Spivey.
They have known each
other for five years now,
and Spivey finds that Red-
way is a good influence on
the world.
“Cooper has made the
world a brighter place,”
said Spivey.“He is always
happy no matter what
happens.”
Redway plans to take
his positive attitude and
work ethic to Cameron
University, where he will
work towards his goal
of becoming a history
teacher.
