The Lady Outlaws played their last game of the season against the Duncan Demons with a score of 52-39.

Sophomore Kinley Castle is sad to see the season over, but found it to be beneficial in more ways than one.

“This season has helped me get my mental game stronger and shown me that if you truly want something, hard work is the only way to get it,” said Castle.

The Lady Outlaw basketball team had a few struggles with only eleven members, but has prospered even with the obstacles.

Sophomore Kory Scott has seen this first hand.

“We have a very small team,” said Scott.  “Next year we all have to step up and show up to every game.”

“I believe I have become strong playing under pressure, and our team as a whole has as well,” said Castle.

The ladies all around have had an amazing season, making it to the regional consolation semi-finals.

“Next season I plan to always leave it on the court and know I gave it 110% every time,” said Castle.

Scott has had many take-aways from the season but one stands out the most.

“The season has taught me that when thinking about the game to think about what the team has done throughout the thirty-two minutes, not just you,” said Scott.

Kory is happy with how the team did but is sad to see the seniors

leave.

“ We played very good this season, from last year with a bunch of seniors being very talented,” said Scott

The Marlow Outlaws also had a fulfilling season, having played their last game against Anadarko.

The game ended with a score 44-30 and occurred during the regional consolation championship.

Despite the loss, the boys have had an amazing season, even earning a fifteen game win streak.

They are also considered Canadian Valley Conference champions, Stephens County Tournament champions and District champions.

Junior Parker Boyles is satisfied with this season.

“My favorite part was our long win streak,” said Boyles. “It was a fun season, and I am really sad it is over.”

Alongside their success, the team has connected a tremendous amount throughout the year.

“I think the team’s chemistry has improved the most,” said Boyles. “We are all as close as it gets because everyday we play very hard and work together.”

With all of the success they had throughout the year, the boys have learned how to work together as a team.

Senior Zach Pettit is very happy with how the season went.

“My favorite part of the season was hanging out with the team at Kingston,” said Pettit. “I have got in good shape playing basketball and it has made me happy to be part of the team.”

This year, Pettit has gotten more confident and athletic.

“Our team’s defense has really improved, altogether we played well together as a team and got along well,” said Pettit.

Marlow Outlaw basketball coach Kirk Harris is very proud of the team.

“We had a great season overall and are really excited about next year,” said Harris. “We have four returning starters and several others that we feel will give us the nucleus of a very solid team next year.”

Both Lady Outlaws and the Outlaws played very well this season and have big plans for next season.
