The Lady Outlaws finished
the Stephens County Tourna-
ment Runners-up with a loss
of 38-34 against the Empire
Bulldogs.
While all the girls are dis-
appointed by the loss, they
did all they could to prepare.
Sophomore Kory Scott is
one student that has worked
exceptionally hard this sea-
son.
“I have been preparing by
watching film and listening to
my coaches with advice they
have for me,” said Scott.
Despite the loss, Scott has
plans to win next years Ste-
phens County Tournament
“I hope to become a more
confident and knowledgeable
player this year, in order to
prepare for next year,” said
Scott.
The Outlaws won the Ste-
phens County Tournament
with a score of 41-32 against
the Velma Comets.
Before the big win, the
boys prepared hard for the
game.
Senior Zach Pettit has been
paying close attention to these
lessons and believes they
were helpful in the game.
“We have been going over
man and zone offenses to be
prepared for whatever they do
defensively,” said Pettit.
Pettit thinks they played
very well and hopes to make
it deep into the playoffs.
Junior Parker Boyles felt
very pleased with the game
against Comanche.
“We have been running
through our plays in prac-
tice and looking at Velma’s
plays,” said Boyles.
“If everyone keeps buying
in and playing hard together,
no one can stop us,” said
Boyles.
The next game will be Jan.
26 hosted at Lindsay.
