Senior Ryli Murray has
been a Student Council (Stu-
Co) member for two years,
initially applying because she
wanted to grow her leadership
skills and be able to help her
community.
However, StuCo has pro-
vided much more than that
for Murray.
“StuCo has helped me re-
alize to not take things for
granted, and if you are able,
reach out and help your com-
munity,” said Murray.
Murray is driven to lead,
and StuCo has been one way
to improve her leadership
skills.
“My favorite part of StuCo
is the projects we are able
to do for our community,”
said Murray “My greatest
achievement through StuCo
is the lifelong friendships I
have made as well as the ex-
perience of being able to help
others,” said Murray
For example, Senior Lau-
ren Ivory who has been
friends with Murray since
the fourth grade, has grown
significantly closer to her
through school activities, in-
cluding StuCo.
“Ryli’s best quality is her
willingness to serve,” said
Ivory. “When there is an op-
portunity for her to help out,
she will always volunteer.
Murray has affected Ivory
both as a person and as a fel-
low StuCo member.
“Ryli has grown to be a
mature, caring, loving friend
16in StuCo, and for that I am
grateful.”
Following high school,
Murray plans to attend Okla-
homa State University to pur-
sue a degree in Communica-
tion Sciences and Disorders.
Afterwards, Murray will
move on to pursue a Masters
degree in Speech Language
Pathology and a Doctorate in
Audiology.
