Senior Amy Blevins
managed for the MHS foot-
ball team for all four years
of high school, picking up
the position as a freshman,
and earning the role of head
manager her senior year.
During this time, Blevins
managed the team respon-
sibly, driven by her passion
to succeed.
Her main goals as a man-
ager were to maintain clear
communication between
everyone on and off the
field, guide the other three
team managers and prepare
for the team’s official and
practice games.
“The main thing being a
manager taught me was pa-
tience,” Blevins said. “This
time allowed me friend-
ships that would have never
happened without football
and learning how to deal
with difficult people.”
Blevins participated as a
candidate in the 2023 foot-
ball Homecoming and was
honored during the football
senior night for her posi-
tion.
Blevins had friends on
all parts of the field, in-
cluding band member and
fellow senior Jesika Friedl
who is one of her closest
friends.
Blevins and Friedl have
gone through high school
together, and Friedl has
seen her personal growth
firsthand.
“Amy has become more
involved and knows what
she does and does not
want,” Friedl said. “She
speaks her mind and is
honest.”
Alongside her character
impacting Friedl, Blevins
has also helped her to grow
as a person.
“She has made me more
confident and less shy,”
Friedl said.
Blevins managed the
football team with dedica-
tion, and she will only con-
tinue this hard work further
into her life.
After graduation,
Blevins plans to attend
Cameron University to ma-
jor in either early elemen-
tary education or nursing.
