Everytime Senior Barron
Gage steps onto the football
field, he is always ready to
make the right route.
Gage plays the position
of wide receiver for the
Marlow High School football
team, and his experiences
have helped him grow in his
leadership and life skills.
Gage has had many people
motivate him throughout his
life and push him to succeed.
“My teammates and how
bad we have all wanted to
succeed has motivated me,”
said Gage.
“Football has helped me
become a leader and learn
how to overcome adversity
and hard times,” said Gage.
MHS football coach Matt
Weber has seen Gage’s
growth over time.
Weber has coached Barron
from his first year in seventh
grade to his senior year, so
he has been able to see Gage
play throughout nearly his en-
tire football career.
“Barron has been one of
the best players we have had
come through here. He is tal-
ented, a hard worker and an
outstanding leader,” said We-
ber. “Barron is a great leader
and has proven so by being
voted as one of our captains.
Marlow football is so impor-
tant to him, and he loves see-
ing his teammates have suc-
cess,” said Weber.
One person who has played
alongside with Gage on the
field is fellow enior Cade Gil-
bert.
“Barron’s biggest impact
on me was definitely on the
football field. We have al-
ways had a great quarterback
and wide receiver connec-
tion,” said Gilbert. “Barron is
a leader. He leads by example
and does what he is coached
to do.”
Gage plans on attend-
ing Oklahoma University to
pursue a degree in physical
therapy.
