Following the success of
the Outlaw Cross Country
members at the regional meet,
they continued into the 3A
State Meet running as hard as
they could.
Junior Michael Weston and

senior Kade Sullivan repre-
sented Marlow’s boys team

at the event while the ladies

team made it to the state com-
petition after getting sixth

place at regionals.
Both the boys and girls
faced steep competition at the
meet, but that did not deter
any of the runners or coaches.
Weston got 14th place with

a time of 16:59, and he All-
Stated.

Sullivan, a big asset to the

cross country team’s suc-
cesses this year, placed 59th

with a time of 18:23 for three
miles.

Sullivan has been motivat-
ed to do his best this year.

“My coach has been my
motivation this year, he has
pushed us to strive to do our
very best,” said Sullivan. “I

think I ran solid, and I im-
proved by having Michael

run and push me every day in
practice.”
The ladies also did very
well, placing 15th overall.
One of the Lady Outlaw’s
who really stood out this year
is Skylar Ramsey.
Ramsey ran two miles
with a time of 13:32, and
she placed 38th overall at the
state event.
Ramsey feels that the Lady
Outlaws ran very well.
“We reached the goal we
wanted and every girl gave it
her all,” stated Ramsey. “We
did such a good job overall.”
Ramsey has had a lot of
motivation for the season.

“Coach Eaves has motivat-
ed me the most this season,

he has pushed me to be the
best version of myself and he
always believes in me,” said
Ramsey.
Cross Country Coach
Mikey Eaves plays a lead
role for both teams and has
enjoyed watching the runners
reach their goals for success.
“It has been a great year,
and I am very blessed as a
coach of both the boys and

girls programs,” comment-
ed Eaves. Running for each

other and knowing your team
is counting on you is what is
keeping this group of both
boys and girls competing at a
high level,” shared Eaves.
Closing out the season
with pride, the Outlaws Cross
Country boys and girls will
continue to work hard in

preparation for the competi-
tion next year.
