Woods putts through senior year
Every time senior Caressa
Woods steps up to the tee box,
whether it be a tournament
or practicing with her fellow
teammates, she always brings
her best attitude and skills
forward.
Woods has played golf
since her seventh grade year
and believes that the sport has
had a positive impact on her
life.
“Golf has helped me grow
as a person by teaching me
that I need to focus on the
good and not look on the
bad,” expressed Woods.
Woods has a positive at-
titude, but sometimes she
needs someone to lean on for
motivation.
“Coach Eaves has helped
me the most. He has always
believed in me even when I
didn’t,” commented Woods.
Lady Outlaw golf coach
Mikey Eaves has had a great
effect on Woods, but Woods
has also impacted him in re-
turn.
“Caressa is an inspiration
to me. Her positive attitude
every day helps bring me
and the team up,” said Eaves.
“Caressa will always have a
special place in my journey as
a coach.”
From a coach’s perspective
Eaves also sees how Woods
helps her teammates.
“Caressa is most definitely
one of the many leaders on
the golf team. She has em-
braced that role and others
are following, setting up our
program for success,” stated
Eaves.
Another person that Woods
has helped as a teammate is
senior Lauren Ivory.
Ivory has also noticed
Woods becoming a leading
factor on the golf team.
“Caressa has been a great
asset on the golf team by
helping her teammates and
pushing them to be the best
they can be,” Ivory expressed.
Woods has also helped Ivo-
ry become who she is today.
“Caressa has definitely
helped shape me into who
I am today,” stated Ivory.
“She has taught me how a
good friend is suppos From
a coach’s perspective Eaves
also sees how Woods ed to
act.”
Woods will have a lasting
impact on the lives of many,
as she finishes her education
at MHS.
Woods plans to attend ei-
ther Southwestern Oklahoma
State University or the Uni-
versity of Central Oklahoma
to pursue a degree in sonog-
raphy.
