Tis’ the season to shop

It is that time of year again where the leaves change colors and the pumpkin spice lattes waft through the air.

This time of year also brings widely celebrated holidays, and with holidays comes holiday shopping.

While Black Friday sales have been the tradition for many retailers, that tradition has evolved into spreading out the deals for consumers.

To ease the pain of spending too much money, most stores give deals for many items while some stores have even started their sales now.

Senior Ruby Crow and her family have enjoyed the early sales: they are using them as an opportunity to stock up on household items.

“There were a lot of discounted products,”stated Crow “One of them was a blanket that I bought; which was buy one get one 50% off.”

Holiday gifts are not typically spent on just one person though, as many of them can be shared throughout the home.

“My mom found some car accessories and a Keurig  on sale as well, which we have been using quite often,” said Crow.

Although the spooky season has ended, that did not stop senior Fayth Olsen from buying some Halloween products.

Decorations and keepsakes are not the only items going on sale inside supermarkets.

“I have seen Halloween candy on clearance and even some Thanksgiving foods like buy one get one free hams at some supermarkets,” stated Olsen.

Olsen adds on to her previous statement and explains why shopping might be more of a struggle this year, more than it has been any other year.

“I believe shopping will be harder this year due to inflation which can put a dent on a lot of families doing their holiday shopping,” said Olsen.

This time of year is special to almost everyone, and it is fun to spend money while getting your dollar’s worth as more deals are sure to come in the future.
