Senior Jimmy Stout has been filming football games since he was a freshman in high school.

He has used his passion for cinematography for the benefit of the Marlow football players and coaches.

“I find it enjoyable to film. I am able to have good seats at each game, and I have plenty of spare time after school to do it,” Stout stated.

Stout was asked by math teacher and coach, Freddy Crowson, if he could help film the 7th and 8th grade football games as well.

Crowson expressed, “I thought I could trust Jimmy to do a good job.  He is a good student so I figured if it worked out with his schedule, he would be able to do it for a few years.”

Stout has continued to use his abilities for filming to benefit others, as well as himself, in the community.

Stout declared, “Getting to chill out and help with the game is very fun and benefits me in many different ways.”

Stout has perfected his craft through his previous three years in high school, and as a senior he continues to balance community service with academics.  

“I’ve never had much of a problem with school. One of my best characteristics is that I am a good student,” explained Stout.  

“On the flip side I can be forgetful and procrastinate, so filming the games helps me keep on track.” 

Through his years of filming he has built many new relationships and lasting friendships, including his good friend Ty Spivey.

Stout and Spivey first met in the 7th grade through a mutual interest in gaming.

“Jimmy is a hard worker and continues to learn about everything he does,” stated Spivey.

“His best quality is that he can be serious and get the job done but he can also have a fun time as well.”

Stout will continue to exemplify these characteristics in the future as he plans to join 

the Oklahoma National Guard after high school and then attend college afterwards.

In college Stout is considering an engineering degree or something similar.
