Clubs and organizations bring opportunities for students

Marlow High School has an abundance of different organizations that students can participate in.
Many of these organizations benefit the community of Marlow and the surrounding area.
These different organizations help teach the students many skills and inner talents that they had no idea were possible.
Many times, participating in these clubs and organizations help students with future scholarship opportunities.
Marlow High School counselor Amy Herchock discussed the many positives that come from being involved on campus and in the community.
“The different organizations give them the opportunity to pad their resume so to speak, to apply for jobs later in life or when they apply for colleges or the military after high school,” stated Herchock. “Those different places are going to want to know who you are and what things you have done to occupy your time.”
Herchock added that being involved shows maturity and dedication on a resume.
“If you got these different organizations to add to that, then you’re showing them that you are the person that can be committed to them as well,” said Herchock.
A lot of students are lost when they first start high school, and they do not know what to do in the next few years.
“These clubs and organizations help students find their niche and what they’re truly interested in,” said Herchock.
Many of these organizations are still open for students to join and be a part of for the 2022-2023 academic year.
