KENNAN
Beginning his teaching career after graduating from Oklahoma State University with a bachelor’s degree, Agricultural (Ag) teacher Quaid Kennan has joined the Marlow High School staff. Kennan discussed his reasoning for teaching Ag at MHS. “I took the job here because it felt like home in the interview with the administration,” Kennan said. “They made me feel like I was already a part of the family.” Kennan has been extremely passionate about Ag ever since his sophomore year in high school, and he hopes to share his knowledge and experience with students at MHS.

MILLER
Celebrating 31 years of teaching, former seventh grade math teacher Tammy Miller has joined the Marlow High School staff for the 2021-22 school year. Miller is teaching Computer Applications II and taking the opportunity to help better prepare students for life after high school. Miller described how her students are excited to learn about computers in her classroom. “I can tell the students in my classroom are eager to learn, because they ask a lot of questions,” Miller stated. With the students being avid to learn and keeping Miller on her toes, she is ready for whatever challenges the 2021-22 school year provides.

TYLER
The year of 2021 has provided a tremendous amount of changes for new Special Education Teacher Ryan Tyler. Being originally from Oklahoma, Tyler made the courageous decision to move back to his home state from Florida to start a new career. Tyler explained his reasons for his new career change. “After being a pilot for almost 20 years, I made the decision to start coaching,” Tyler stated. “There was something about helping the kids one-on-one and the in-depth type of teaching and that is what made me choose special ed.” Tyler is ready to teach his students throughout the 2021-22 school year and anticipated to greatly impact his pupils.
