Throughout her time in highschool, senior Alicia Moore has dedicated much of her time to the FFA organization and the community.
Being a fifth year FFA student, Moore began her journey as an eighth grader when she enrolled in the agriculture class at Marlow High School.
Moore held the title of FFA Vice President in 2018-19 and currently serves as the 2019-20 FFA President.
Throughout her positions in FFA, Moore has gained knowledge on leadership, teamwork, commitment and passion.
Getting involved in the club early, Moore has gained self confidence throughout her time in FFA.
“FFA has taken me completely out of my comfort zone,” Moore said. “It allowed me to see the potential that I had throughout high school when I felt as though I had none.”
Bringing many leadership qualities to the group, Moore serves as a positive influence to those she is surrounded by.
Fellow FFA officer senior Luke Davis described Moore’s passion for the organization.
“Alicia completely changed my outlook on high school and has been one of my biggest role models,” Davis explained. “Alicia started off just like the rest of us, the typical shy new member; but since then, she has blossomed into an amazing leader.”
When asked about advice for the underclassmen, Moore expressed that getting involved early in highschool is the best key to success.
“My advice is to just go for it. Always be up for trying new things because you never know when you will find your thing,” Moore stated. “Coming into such a huge organization is terrifying, but getting into organizations is the best way to have the best highschool experience .”
After high school, Moore plans to attend Southwestern Oklahoma State University to major in occupational therapy.
