Marlow High School senior Brock Freeman fulfills the passion of experiencing the biomedical program at the Red River Technology Center (RRTC) while also building everlasting friendships.

The biomed program allows students, like Freeman, to get involved with the biomedical science and advanced laboratory courses.

Moving to Marlow as a sophomore, Freeman began engaging in the biomed program his junior year to make strides for college.

After two years of partaking in RRTC, Freeman described the inspiration that the biomed program has given to him.

“The program has influenced me to pursue a major in science in college and possibly a career in the medical field,” said Freeman.

Balancing his free time and school work, Freeman has gained friendships and memories outside of RRTC.

Initiating a friendship after Freeman’s transfer to MHS, senior Gavin Kizarr explained a quality that stands out in Freeman’s work ethic.

“I think he has a unique way of thinking and putting things together – he thinks outside the box,” said Kizarr.

Finding strong leadership qualities in Freeman, fellow senior Kearsten Ball notes that Freeman wants success not only for himself but also for those around him.

“Not only is Brock a good student, he is also a good person,” said Ball. “He thrives in his education, and he is always working hard, while also making sure his friends and classmates are doing the same thing.”

Intending to continue his studies in science, Freeman plans on attending South Western Oklahoma State University in the fall to major in Biology.
