KAYLYNN BRADLEY
Junior Kaylyn Bradley competed in the star event Work Related Job Interview on Feb. 4 at the Canadian Valley Technology Center in Chickasha Okla. Bradley has been a member of Family Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) for three years. Learning many lessons throughout her two years competing, Bradley was greatly prepared for this event . Bradley received first place in this competition. Bradley explains how this star event has prepared her for the future. “My star event has prepared me for star events that I want to compete in next year,” Bradley explains. “Also they have prepared me for school and my career after school.”
MADISON DAVIS
Sophomore Madison Davis competed in the star event Work Related Child Care Teachers Aid on Feb. 4 at the Canadian Valley Technology Center in Chickasha Okla. Davis has been a member of Family Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) for two years. Davis received second place in this event. Being involved in FCCLA for two years, Davis reflects on her favorite thing about the organization. “ My favorite thing about FCCLA is all of the friends that I have made,” Davis said. “ I have made friends that I can talk to anytime I need to talk about something bothering me.”
ASPEN TRUEBLOOD &
PAYTON ORTEGA
Freshman Payton Ortega and freshman Aspen Trueblood competed in the star event Interpersonal Communication on Feb. 4 at the Canadian Valley Technology Center in Chickasha Okla. Both Ortega and Trueblood have been members of Family Career and Community Leader of America (FCCLA) for only one year. The group placed second in this competition. Ortega has grown over the year from FCCLA. “I love FCCLA because it has made me be a better person,” Ortega said. “ It has provided me with the opportunity to connect with members of the community and make more friends within the high school.”
