Baseball preps for regionals
Four Marlow seniors and their parents were honored Monday afternoon prior to the Outlaw baseball team’s final regular season home games.
Trey Coffman, Austin Forsythe and Kelby Richardson led the Outlaws to a 10-5 win against Verden before falling to Elgin in the second game of the evening.
Senior manager Kayla Richardson was also recognized on Monday.
The latest win continued successful play from last week when Marlow won four out of five games and sealed a district championship after earning a bye.
Heading into their final regular season game on Friday, Marlow will take a record setting record of 24-9.
The Outlaws will prepare for regionals, which they hope to host May 8-10.
A regional championship would earn them a return trip to the Class 3A State Baseball Tournament, which will be played May 14-16 with the first two games to be played at Edmond Memorial and the championship to be played at the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.
